RAAD EHR Expansion in UNICEF-Supported Clinics

Nomad Innovation Lab is partnering with UNICEF to support the expansion of the RAAD Electronic Health Record (EHR) system across UNICEF-supported health facilities in Somalia. This work builds on our broader digital health efforts to strengthen clinical documentation, improve data quality, and support more efficient service delivery at facility level.
Through this partnership, RAAD is being implemented as a practical digital tool for managing patient records, improving reporting workflows, and supporting healthcare workers with more reliable and accessible information. The project includes key implementation components such as facility assessments, system configuration, ICT and power setup, user training, data migration, DHIS2 integration, testing, and ongoing technical support. This matches the UNICEF EHR piloting scope and implementation approach described in the TOR and proposal.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening health systems through locally grounded digital innovation. By expanding RAAD in UNICEF-supported clinics, the project contributes to better continuity of care, more timely and accurate reporting, and stronger digital health foundations for frontline service delivery in Somalia. This aligns with the stated goals of improving patient care, data accuracy, administrative efficiency, and integration with national reporting systems.
